چکیده

This document presents a systematic review of Multimodal Human–Computer Interaction. It shows how different types interaction technologies (virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality, force vibration feedback devices (haptics), tracking) are used in domains (concepts, medicine, physics, human factors/user experience design, transportation, cultural heritage, industry). A literature search was conducted identifying 406 articles initially. From these articles, we selected 112 research works that consider most relevant for the content this article. The were analyzed in-depth from viewpoint temporal patterns, frequency usage technology domains, cluster analysis. analysis allowed us to answer questions searching next steps work related multimodal HCI. We looked at typical type, type have changed time over each domain, papers grouped across metrics given their similarities. determined VR haptics widely all domains. While is used, haptic presented an increasing number applications, suggesting future on applications configure together.

Multimodal interaction: A review

People naturally interact with the world multimodally, through both parallel and sequential use of multiple perceptual modalities. Multimodal human–computer interaction has sought for decades to endow computers with similar capabilities, in order to provide more natural, powerful, and compelling interactive experiences. With the rapid advance in non-desktop computing generated by powerful mobil...

Student's Evaluation of Web-Based Learning Technologies in a Humancomputer Interaction Course

The human-computer interface (HCI) field is constantly changing and designers are challenged to develop simple interactive systems implemented through sophisticated technology. At Ben-Gurion University, the introductory HCI course was originally taught in a face-to-face mode and covered theoretical knowledge on HCI theories, principles and design, and practical experience in designing and evalu...

Analyzing Multimodal Interaction

Human-to-human conversation remains such a significant part of our working activities because of its naturalness. Multimodal interaction systems combine visual information with voice, gestures, and other modalities to provide flexible and powerful dialogue approaches. The use of integrated multiple input modes enables users to benefit from the natural approach used in human communication. In th...
